Hi, I have a search on my front page and a filter on my search results page.

I am using a number based search for one of the fields.

I have an issue that all fields are filled in on the filter once you have searched except for the numbers.

I am guessing this happens because on the way that I am using the numbers.

This was something we sorted out through support before. The original issue was it is a ‘number of guests’ field. If put this in as standard, the search results would only return properties with the same exact number where as if a property allowed 6 guests and the user added ‘5 guests’ the 6 guests properties would not show.

My search url looks like this:

?sfid=132668&_sfm_region=4&_sfm_sleeps_from=1+13

any ideas how we get around this and fill in the filter properly?

If the form has range fields, even if the user does not touch them, the min-max values will be added.

If you visit:

https://francefamstage.wpengine.com/?sfid=132396&_sfm_region=11&_sfm_sleeps_from=1+4

this is a search from the home page you will see that region is filled in on the sidebar filter but not the number of guests which has reverted to 2

Whereas if you visit:

https://francefamstage.wpengine.com/?sfid=132668&_sfm_region=11&_sfm_sleeps_from=1+4

this is a new search direct from the filter on the results page, this retains both. The numbers don’t seem to like going across forms.

any ideas?

Hi trevor, a search for Nord pas de Calais with 3 guests brings back 3 results which fit this criteria:

eg:

… though, I don’t think this matters in this case as it’s more to do with the fact that the filter is not retaining the ‘Numbers of Guests’ field.
