i have several different S&F searches on my site, each one is for a different custom post type and each one insists on caching my entire site of posts. atm i have over 700 posts and that is soon to grow to over 2000 as my site develops. is there any way for each of the searches to only cache their respective custom post type
Search & filter has just one cache for all the forms on the site, and it caches only what those forms, in total, need. During development with changes to many forms, it will have to rebuild many times, but once the site is made, it only makes incremental changes to the cache.
You should never need to rebuild it again and there will be nothing that triggers this event – it will stay in sync, and when it does this is is super efficient so no worries about hits
