I love the plugin- but it loads so slowly. I have installed Autoptimize plugin but it only helps a little. Any advice?

Looking at the search on that page, it does not look as if there is anything unusual about it. Not a large number of posts, not many filter options, and the images are not very large.

Do you have a WordPress cache plugin installed? I use one called Breeze, which also has many of the features of Autoptimize, so you could replace that with Breeze.

Other than that, I would be inclined to look towards the hosting/server as the issue. Who are you hosting with? What sort of plan are you on, with what sort of monthly/annual budget?

    Hi Trevor
Thank you for your incites. I will try the Breeze plugin and see what results I get. I am hosting on MediaTemple grid-service. I pay $20 a month. I’ve been happy with them- their customer support is good. I’ve asked them about speed before and they’ve never recommended upgrading my plan, but perhaps I need to ask that question specifically. Do you have recommendations for specifics of a hosting plan that would be better?
    Best Regards,

    Sarah

It is not so much the MB, CPU, etc as the actual setup of the server. Is your based around cPanel (the client area)?

I ‘think’ so. There are also Plesk options and I know my plan is not Plesk. Its hard for me to tell because the actual client area is branded for MediaTemple. Its not a traditional cPanel but I think it is based on that.
