Using Pinboard from Themify, but this was happening with another theme. Basically, when I enter in search terms every post is returned.

Any ideas? Appreciate any help on this.

Still having this problem? When I searched on the term “boston” (just that word, nothing else) it did return a subset of videos, only those with a Boston team playing.

I think you’re referring to my theme’s search form in the menu bar

    Hi Andrew

I’m not sure what you mean, do you mean when you enter a search term at the top of the page? You must use a S&F search field in the Search form UI (not sure if this is what you meant anyway).

Otherwise, would you be able to create a new search form for testing with a search field added to it?

    Thanks

    Ross,
I was responding to Trisha Miller who used my theme’s search function; sorry for the confusion.

I just put a new S&F search box in the sidebar under “Select Teams”.

Thank you for your help on this.

    Hi Andrew

I think that something is modifying the search query to return other post types..

To confirm, do all the other form options work, as in, are the results as expected except for this post type issue?

To test the theory try following the quick tutorial here:
    http://www.designsandcode.com/wordpress-plugins/search-filter-pro/docs/display-results/with-a-shortcode/

Ans send me a link to this page – although the result may not look how you want I think they will be correct.

    Thanks

Thanks Ross … so the results do work but as you said they aren’t styled the way I want.

    So what can I do?

    Hey Andrew

Its possible that something in another plugin is interfering with the search results, so I would try disabling them – and possibly even check if its a theme issue.

Apart from that please take a look here which has sheds more light on the two ways of displaying results:

(also check the subpages in the left nav for more info)

    Thanks
