Hey Petr run out of time tonight, I’ll get back on this in the morning.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 27, 2014 at 11:13 am #8321Hey Petr
I’ve just been contacted by the folks over at WPML and checked out your posts over there – I guess now we will work together to find out what the issue is exactly and fix it.
FYI, I have just had a long running user integrate with WPML and they had no issues with this plugin – but of course there can be other things that need to be fixed.
Thanks

I hope you’re doing fine. The customer is really in need to resolve this issue ASAP as the non functional search and filtering is causing him serious business issues. It’s been reported in early November and still with no real progress.
Would you please able to send me an update and when you think you might be able to resolve it so I can inform the customer?
Thank you,

I’ll get in touch with the WPML guys again tomorrow and see what they are saying.
Just so you know, we do have users who use WPML successfully and I have a local setup using this fine, so I’m thinking its something to do you with compatibility with your theme, however I’ll get back with chasing up the WPML avenue.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) January 19, 2015 at 8:57 pm #10531Hi Ross,
I was testing different scenarios here and I have finally managed to make it working using shortcode and creating custom template. This way WMPL works ok and I can see all texts translated properly.
Thanks for your help and I think you can close this case now.
Petr
Ross Moderator(Private) January 19, 2015 at 9:08 pm #10532Hey Petr! I’m talking with the WPML guys now ๐ Waiting for them to do some testing and come back to me.
Do you have any suggestions from your experience what you had to do to make it work?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) January 20, 2015 at 11:22 am #10582Hi Ross,
To make it working, I had to switch to shortcode method and change the URL of the original search page. Without changing the URL (it is probably registered somewhere in database) I was unable to make it working correctly. Once the URL has been changed and method for displaying search results was set to shortcode, I inserted the shortcode to search page and started to see search results translated correctly. Once this was working I created custom template for displaying results.
