Hello Trevor,
After testing the includes and excludes, translating forms and taxonomies etc. with no success, I switched my focused to the Polylang plugin itself and found the solution: I changed the URL-settings in the plugin from ‘The language is set from the content’ to ‘The language is set from the directory in pretty permalinks’ and the filter works (again)… Seems so simple in retrospect.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help and quick response.
