    Hey Ross,
I figured it out, I wasn’t using the specific “shop” sidebar, I was just using any sidebar. I m guessing this specific “shop” sidebar is built into my theme because woocommerce is built into my theme… If not you may want to add to the documentation that you have to put the search and filter widget into the shop side bar in the widgets area. Thanks a lot for the quick response. I have another question but i m going to open it in a new thread.

    Hey gregory

Can you enable debug mode on your site and see what errors are coming up? Certainly seems strange it won’t show on the woocommerce shop…

    Thanks

    Hi,
No matter how I do it, shortcodes or sidebar widget, I cant get the search form to show on the woocommerce shop page, I can make it show up on any other page just not the page i want it too…
For example, I have one page called http://itsmyproblem.org/f/, where the search form is working and another http://itsmyproblem.org/shop where the shop works, and if i switch the page in woocommerce products display to the f page, the seach form disappears. Tried for a long time now but cant figure it out, any help would be great, thanks.

    Hello –

I trying to add sort by rating / filter by rating to my woocommerce shop, but I cannot figure out how to accomplish this. A “rating” related meta tag doesn’t appear in the post meta for me to use for this function. Are you aware of a way to incorporate it?

    Thank you

    Hi there

Please see the docs on shortcode mode (which you are using) vs archive mode –

    http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/#Shortcode_vs_Archive

If you are using shortcode mode, and wish to customise the results layout then you must see here:

    http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/using-a-shortcode/#Customising_the_Results

Alternatively, you can try another display method such as archive to use a layout that comes with your theme.

The two demos I have online – one is WooCommerce – which uses the woocommerce templates – this is how I got a grid on that one, and on the Movie Demos, was using a template from the 2015 theme using archive mode (with some small modifications).

Let me know if there are any further issues.

    Thanks

    Hey David

So the layout / template is part of the Amazon affiliate plugin?

If this is the case, I would assume that there must be a way with this plugin to modify the template that is used – as with most plugins, it may require copying the template files from the plugin folder to your theme folder.

This is how it works with WooCommerce and many other plugins (incl S&F shortcode results method).

What I would do is check the docs for that plugin, find out where to access/modify the templates, and then include that code in the template for Search & Filter results.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks

thanks for the reply. No, that isn’t what I am after.

I am essentially looking to show particular products/results based on a KNOWN filter (as per my example). I do not want users to need to perform a search. They just visit Page X and it will list the products/results. Similar to using a woocommerce shortcode to display a particular product ID or category. I want the bring in particular products/results, as per my example URL above (but without performing the search). Does that make sense?

Display method? Woocommerce shop, without ajax.

What I am trying to do eventually is get it to appear on the side of a woo category page.

    Hey there

Woocommerce tags and categories are actually taxonomies.

Have you tried a taxonomy field?

    Thanks

    Hi Ross,

Plugin looks great. Have been unable to get it to work with Woocommerce.
It picks up blog categories but not product categories.
I have tested it on an Avada setup and on a non-avada setup (Vantage).

In the case of the Avada theme, we are getting an error message:
Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/user/public_html/avada/wp-includes/post.php on line 1168

I have tried placing it with shortcodes and also using the woocommerce shop page.

    Any ideas?
