We wish to display our page like the Demo2 (WooCommerce)style. We are having two issues. First, can we customize what gets pulled in (thumbnail image and title only)? Secondly, we’d like the search form to be vertical and the results to be in horizontal rows. I tried the css code change but it put the form horizontal as well.

    Hi Alberto

    To answer your questions:

    1) Modifying the look of S&F should be just the same as with anything using CSS – although, you must be aware the order the CSS is loaded in, if CSS from your theme is loaded after CSS from Search & Filter then its really easy, if it is the other way round then you might need to add !important to your CSS rules.

Info on horizontal can be found here: https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/horizontal-layout/

    2) To get S&F results to look like woocommerce results we must use some of the templates from woocommerce – mainly the “archive-product.php” template, as well as manually adding the woocommerce classes to the body tag – check some similar topics with this info: https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/search/archive-product/

I am planning a release where S&F will work directly on the products page 😉

    Thanks

Hi and thanks for a great search plugin. I have 2 questions.

    1. I wonder if you could steer me in the right direction for styling. Right now it does not look good and we are trying with custom CSS with not real luck. We are using one horizontal and also vertical search bar in a sidebar.

I went through your forum and it looks you are working in some style templates. Is this happening any time soon?

    2. Have you got any tips of how to make the search results page look a bit better with the option of filtering results to further help users find what they are after. Do you have shortcodes we could use. We use S&F with Woocommerce products only and would like the result page looks similar to a woosearch and have 3 or 4 columns with thumbnails and a short description.

I am happy to invest in any other of your plugins or addons if needed.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards

    Hello there,

I’m really loving this plugin so far. However, I have a question that I haven’t been able to find an answer for yet while exploring the forum.

I did find a post about horizontally aligning the form, and that was very helpful. But what’s the best way to go about altering the actual markup of the form? I’m using the Foundation framework from Zurb, and would like to have my post meta list items in their own columns. I tried browsing the plugin files for anything that would show the actual code for generating the form, but couldn’t find it (my PHP isn’t the best yet).

Is there a file that I can tweak a bit to get the form to behave the way I want?

    Thanks!

Is there any way to format the drop down to look like this?

    Check the select model dropdown

we have a horizontal search and im using the multi select but the size of multiple selects is looking kind of weird

Hello, also I want to learn about the horizontal and vertical issue. Because in the free version of the plugin it was something that I could do it easily.

Separate with comma -> Example: [searchandfilter taxonomies=”search, category”]

but , in the PRO version with the UI, I searched a lot but I couldn’t find the way to make horizontal the menu.

in the short-code I receive an ID -> Example: [searchandfilter id=”13601]

    Please help us.

    Thank you!

    Hello,
I would like to edit the style of the search form (make horizontal rather than vertical and edit the select drop down fields)…could you give me a couple of pointers?

    Hey Suzanne

To get it working horizontally see:

    https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/horizontal-layout/

I’m not sure what you meant by the second part of your message – can you be a bit clearer as to what you are trying to do?

    Thanks
