    Hey Hillary,

    I’m also using Salient and search and filter pro.

    Your results look amazing, big fan of the material styling.

    How did you get the results to display the way they do?

    The page I’m currently trying to style is https://trendfriend.io/trends

    Thanks Hillary!

    Hi there,

    I am successfully using your plugin to search and filter wedding venues based on Menu Styles, Price, Setting and Location.

    What I would like to do now is use those taxonomies to display the venue specific info on its portfolio page. So not for a search, but instead to display.

    Can I pull the taxonomies onto a page using short codes or another method.

    For example I would like to have displayed on the venue pages.

    Menu Styles: Canape Sit Down Buffet
    Price: $$$
    etc

    I finally was able to get this plugin to work somewhat without the website crashing. I can display the filters but I get no results with display results using shortcode. I am able to get results using the archive display, but it loads the portfolio posts as a list on a separate page. Is there anyway to get this to load and re arrange the items though as styled on the current collections page? I am only getting the results as a list on a separate page with no images. I saw in the documentation there is a way in archive to use a template from the theme but I’m not really sure how to set that up do you know if that is possible with the theme I’m using?

    Thanks

    Hi Trevor,
    I’m using Search & Filter Pro VC Version 1.0.0. Do I need to replace this with the first one from your link above?

    WPBakery Page Builder is version 5.5.5

    I’m using the VC Post Grid, display style ‘Pagination’.

    Cheers

    I basically want to resemble the eBay/amazon style of search.
    Top bar should be the search bar with main categories at the bottom (similar to nintendo search)
    And on the left have a sidebar for faceted filtering
    thank you
    when is the v3 coming ?

    As a thought, back in your theme, what happens if you set it up as a purpose made combined search and search results page, using our shortcode method (don’t worry about the style of it for now):

    I’m Using:
    Wordpress, WooCommerce, Elementor Pro, Anywhere Elementor, custom taxonomy, and SearchandFilter Pro.

    I have my product page set up custom through Elementor and the only thing on the page template is a filter form set up for only products and to display results on the woo commerce shop.

    I set up 7 custom taxonomies to make filtering easier. they show up in the filter form. but the problem is no matter what I select it doesn’t actually filter anything.

    It was working before but then I added some more inventory and tried to restyle some things and now nothing is filtered, in addition to that the filters themselves don’t reflect that they’re working together (i.e. if I select something that should filter it down to 5 products then go to another filter it will show me results based on all products not just the 5 filtered products).

    I completely wiped the template clean and tried to rebuild it to the original functionality but that doesn’t seem to be helping either.

    … please help.

    The problem that you face is that demo you show actually copies the original select form element and replaces it with a DIV based structure. There are a number of steps you need to take to go down that route.

    Firstly, go to Wp admin -> Search and Filter -> Settings and change the Combobox script to select2.

    Then, you need to go to the Select2 documentation and apply Select2 to each of the fields in the form (use the class sf-input-select to target them). I think that the jquery would look like this:

    jQuery(document).ready(function($){
      $('select.sf-input-select').select2();
    });

    You may need to set some options on that as well.

    Then you can start to style the fields.

    Search and Filter includes the files needed for Select2 to work, and also some default styling.

    Hi,

    I’m using S&F Pro to search through a custom post type consisting of events. Events have a date set through an ACF date type field. Results are displayed using a shortcode, and style is applied using a custom results.php located in /search-filter/.

    Seaching and filtering work fine, but I can’t seem do to what I want with the default display of results (before using any kind of filter). I would like to display as default only future events, starting with the closest. Past events should remain accessible through search.

    I tried :
    – In Search & Filter > Posts : changing default order and/or secondary order but it doesn’t affect the way the results are displayed. Plus it doesn’t offer enough options anyway (hiding certain posts according to a certain criterion, here : past date).
    – Making a custom query in /search-filter/results.php : the results are displayed correctly but the filters don’t work anymore (displays the same results)

    How can I achieve what I’m looking for using your plugin ?

    Thanks,

    Pierre
