Hi,
I tried reading through as many of the support topics as I could, but most are so specific. And I’m not even sure where to start figuring out what is wrong.
I’ve tried two methods to make the Search and Filter work and neither really works as it should. I’ve got a simple CPT that uses a few ACF custom fields that I wasn’t to search and filter by. At first I built an archive template with Elementor Pro that used their post display and a plugin that allowed me to create a custom loop (to display the ACF fields in the archive list). I added the form to this archive template and it didn’t seem to connect to the search results (archive) at all.
Then I hand coded an archive page for the CPT (though I’m a little shaky with php) that displays the archive fine. I added the form shortcode to it, and the search only barely works. Once in every ten tries it actually filters the archive items. It may be a problem with how I coded the template, but I really am not sure.

Can you help point me in the right direction to get it working?
(I want to avoid having to change my custom fields into custom taxonomies if possible)

There is not, as that part of the output is handled by Elementor, not Search & Filter.

Hi,

I’m having problem with using S&F pro with Elementor and Ocean WP theme.
When shortcode is in toggle’s <p> (which is a sticky to top element) and i change the parameters in the filter, filter apllies but then toggle doesn’t react on first click (after that it reloads the page). What’s more it doesn’t stick to top as it should (it works after reloading the page).

Any help with fixing that issue would be appreciated.

It is Elementor that controls what happens in a no results found situation. I would advise restricting the possibility of this happening by removing any empty results terms from the search form. To do this, in the General settings tab:

Set Auto Count (both settings) to ON

And then in the Form UI:

In each field set Hide Empty to ON?

However, if you have a general text search field, it will always be possible to get no results.

Hello,

I am using Elementor post widget and the fitler works but when i filter where i know the output is empty it shows the previous posts. Is there a way to show no posts when i filter to an empty category?

thank you for the replay and my delayed response.

I followed your instructions and i´ve three new questions:

1) When i start filtering (first select-box “Armut und soziale Sicherheit”) then i see 9 results in the selectbox-counting, but in the list i see only five results. After use the second select (“Grundschule”) i should have 5 Results in the list, like the counting in the select-boxex.

2) After Selecting i have no pictures in my results. Why?

3) Do you know where can i style this resultlist with elementor?

Hi I have two questions:

1. The plugin is not filtering at all, it always showing all result, even I already click “AND” as an operator at the backend.

2. THe result is not folloring the search result template I expected, which I created with elementor theme editor:
