I suspect I know the problem, likely described here (with the solution):
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/elementor-filter-not-working-showing-all-results/#post-221562
This post shows to make one dropdown react to a choice made in another:

If you think that this is not the issue, are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?
It looks like you have used an old, now not used, integration method for Elementer Pro.
You need to remove that filter_next_query shortcode and change the display method in the form. If you install the free extension we now offer for Elementor Pro, and follow the new guide, it should work. Note that we do have a beta pre-release version of this extension which we plan to release shortly, so be on the lookout for that, as it fixes a few bugs some users have reported. Here is the guide (the download button is at the top):

Hi David
Another user alerted us to this also, we’ve fixed this in our beta Elementor Extension plugin:

It should be officially released in the next couple of days.
Thanks

I bought search & filter pro to use for a website I’m making that is for a car dealership. I have added a few filters and I have added the short code on the page where I want the results to be shown. I have also added [searchandfilter id=”418″ action=”filter_next_query”] before the post-widget where I want the results. I have set the ajax container to .elementor-widget-posts. But when I use the filters, the cars showing on the page dissapears and everything is just nulled in a way.
Can you please try this on my website and tell me what I might have done wrong.

I don’t think they’re errors as such, just debug info from the errorlog() command.
Example just now from a 32MB phpdebug log file – these are generated (I think) every time the post grid is generated:

The Elementor Posts widgets do not have the ability to do this, sorry. It may be something we will look at as a future development, but right now our efforts are focused on getting V3 finished and released.
I would use the Elementor Pro Archive Products widget for the content, and use our Elementor extension to work with that, per this guide (the download is on the guide at the top):
https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/
I am not sure our plugin supports having the product categories on the shop page. It expects the products to be there.

Firstly, I love this plugin, about to buy another license!
I am trying to configure Elementor + Search & Filter Pro to show no results unless a search term OR other filter has been applied.
Can you please guide me on how I would achieve this?

Hi, I had a ticket with Elementor Support about lines I was seeing in phpdebug and they replied with this:
“From our checks, we have narrowed down the root cause to be stemming from the “Search & Filter – Elementor Extension” plugin’s “search-filter-elementor/search-filter-elementor.php” file at lines 551-554. For quick confirmation on your end, you may temporarily deactivate this plugin, remove the “error_log” file, then check for any improvement while viewing (or refreshing) a page with our default Posts widget.
In this plugin file at the lines mentioned, there are a few lines of code that essentially logs messages to the “error_log” file (please see our screenshot attached). As we are not the developers of this plugin, we highly recommend reporting this (along with our findings) to their support team to provide further details for resolving this particular issue as they will be best able to assist.
”
I have a screenshot file I can forward on if that will help? But raising this for info.
