Because we have over 70 categories that makes the search page very long (vertically), we want to contain the categories within a scroll region (https://www.screencast.com/t/qMPukNayk).
The problem we’ve run into is after deploying the scrollbar, all of the category options within the section become unresponsive to user selection. We’ve temporarily deactivated the feature and the category options are live-loading the results again.
Please let us know if you have any tips or if you’d like us to send you some code snippets of the site. (We are building with Search & Filter Pro + Elementor)
Thank you!

Good afternoon! We are using Search & Filter Pro with Elementor.
There are a few items are dev team is struggling with. I will be breaking these things into separate tickets. One of the things we’re trying to accomplish with the Advanced Search page is bring some of the search options/information ABOVE the results instead of confining everything to the search bar.
We are trying to add the following elements to a subheader above the page:
1) # OF SEARCH RESULTS
2) SORT BY dropdown
Please see our attached screenshot of our mockup here: https://www.screencast.com/t/SCPWgelo
We are having trouble finding documentation about this. Please let us know how we may accomplish this.
Thank you!

I had originally set up an elementor template to display search results. That did not work.
I now created a page with the suggested shortcode in the plugin settings, and edited that setting. It still does not work.
After trying both settings, I’m not sure what else to do.

Hello Trevor,
As I mentioned in the previous message on 9/24, I already downloaded and used the Elementor extension. I did not know that you could only have one search form per page. So, I’ve now removed the other search from the header and replaced it with the Elementor Search & Filter form. Again, it produces no result.
I do not understand what you mean about a results URL because that is dependent on the search query that you make. For example, the URL that is generated after a search looks like this: https://crcfl.net/_sf_s=cancer
BTW, I did read the documentation carefully before reaching out. It does not address the issues that I am experiencing.
Thanks for your help,
Jackie
You can have only one search form on the page.
We now have a free additional extension for Elementor Pro, which you should download (if you are logged in) from top of this guide page (which shows how it should be used with the product archives widget, see a little way down the page for specific extra advice when using the product archives widget):
https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/
Please read and follow the guide carefully. The forms you have do not appear to have the Results URL completed?
Are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?
HOWEVER …
I suspect that you have used product category more than once in the form, which you cannot do. This post explains a bit more:
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/elementor-filter-not-working-showing-all-results/#post-221562
But, I will be making a video to explain it better, probably tomorrow morning, so I will leave this ticket for me to action, and I will post a link to the video here.
It does make sense, but you need at least two additional custom taxonomies. You can use Post tags only once in a form. This post explains a bit more:

Hi there,
Thanks for your answer.
I checked and the problem happens when, for example, you are in a product category. It is a list of products and I designed it with filters in sidebar but here the filters just don’t work.
When you are in the shop page (all products list) the filters are working fine.
In elementor I have the same template for: product archive, shop page, product categories and product tags.
I don’t know why it works while in shop page but not when in a product category, it is the same elementor template.

Hi Trevor!
On this sample page, I have used the Elementor extension to create two search forms. https://crcfl.net/test-search/
And, I get an error when I try to do a search, and it says the page cannot be found.
Thanks for your assistance!
