I moved the site to a new url if you need to reference it https://www.ridniker.com/
The Shiurim page is using a separate S&F form since that page is only set to display posts within a specific category, the form I have been trying to work with is the default archive page which is located here: https://www.ridniker.com/news-events/

Last night I installed the S&F Elementor Extension and was able to get it to work with the built in search as long as I used the default posts and post archives from Elementor and also added the code you provided to my functions file. I couldn’t figure out how to apply it to my AE blocks, but I will revisit that when I have more time.

One other feature that would be helpful is adding a field for monthly archives to the S&F form. Right now it doesn’t seem to work if someone arrives at the archive page by selecting a month from the default WordPress widget. The filters will not apply to that and just reset.
This is where I tested it: https://broadwaywiz.com/newsite/2019/02/

    Hi Nigel

    Thanks for the update.

    So to clarify whats happening:

    1) When using that plugin on its own, there are no issues.
    2) When using S&F + Elementor Extension, there are no issues
    3) When using all together, there are only issues when performing an Ajax request

    Is that correct?

When we complete our ajax request, we tell Elementor to “re-init” the page layout javascript – which might be whats triggering this.

    Thanks

    Hi Nigel

As we’ve just released the plugin, there are bound to be a few issues, but I don’t think anything so strange should be happening!

To help isolate the issue (and if it is the custom skin), can you test with any of the built in Elementor widgets, without using custom skins?

In an ideal world, if you could provide links to a broken page (with custom skin) and one to a working page (with default elementor widget) and I’ll roll up my sleeves and get debugging 🙂

    Thanks

Hi everyone, I would like to configure this script provided by Search & Filtre to have a more dynamic filtering system, this is the link:

Do you know him? can you help me configure it with elementor pro?

Hi, A big thank you for the Elementor integration. I’ve installed and configured and all works well except if I try to use AJAX. If I turn on AJAX the page loads ok but any attempt to search or filter breaks the browser (Chrome) to a point where I have to kill the browser pages. This is using an Elementor Custom Skin loop – I’ve not tried it yet using a regular Elementor post archive. Any suggestions or is it a bug?

    Thanks in advance.

If I understand you correctly, you want to filter the content of widgets on the page?

Do you have more than one widget on any given page that needs to have its content filtered?

If so, do you need the content of those widgets to be filtered by a single form?

And, following that, would that need to be by using Ajax?

We have just released an extension/addon for Elementor Pro (late last night), so did you see this:

    Hi,

I’m trying to make a search form that will filter widgets on my pages. Some pages’ widgets need filtered by “location”, some need filtered by “audience”. This will probably require me to make several different search forms. But I need help figuring some things out:

How do I get those widgets to communicate with my search form? I started delving into the CSS Class ID of the widgets I want to filter (because that seems like the only way for the search form to communicate with the Elementor Team widgets I have placed), but I don’t see any options when I’m making the search form to filter by Class ID. If that’s not possible, is it possible for me to assign my widgets to a certain taxonomy?

    Thanks in advance!

Ohh thats great 🙂 Glad you are up and running.

FYI, Elementor docs have been updated to include the new extension and how I set it up on your site
