I need to add that our new integration method for Elementor:

Does add a No results option. IF you are using one of those modules methioned.

If Ajax is OFF, does it then work (but the page will reload)? I suspect that the Ajax Container (currently set by default to be #main) needs to be changed. Switching Ajax OFF will test if I am right.

I also note that you are using Elementor, is that Elementor Pro? If our current process does not work, we may need to switch to this method (have a look anyway, it might be what you need – note the addon download at the top of the page):

Thank you for the relevant advice. I stupidly never thought that it could be a problem with Safari on iOS.

I took a look at the page specifically on the iPad and used the “Inspect” app to get the code. I then found the culprit.

That code worked:

body.elementor-kit-722 input:not([type=”button”]):not([type=”submit”]), body.elementor-kit-722 textarea, body.elementor-kit-722 .elementor-field-textual{padding:0}

Padding was previously set to 4% – such a small number…

With Elementor, there isn’t a method you can use to create a ‘no results’ message for Ajax results refreshes. That is the way Elementor is coded, sorry. Also, there is not a way with Elementor to not show results until a search has been made.

Thank you! I actually ended up using the page link to plugin and it works amazingly. Followup question, can you by default show no results until the user searched for something?

Hi Kurt, I managed to do this, took me quite a while to figure it out :-).

* I created a page to display my search results.
* I installed an extra plugin, Ele Custom Skin, in which I created a loop function.

I created a menu in Search & Filter pro.
In the Search & Filter options –
* Display Results I choose Elementor Posts/Portfolio/Products
* In template options I choose the created search results page

Then in the search results page I add the “Posts” widget to display my post list
In the “Posts” widget – query source I select Search & Filter Query
In the “Posts” widget – layout I choose custom and my loop created by Ele Custom skin

This method worked for me!

Hi,

I’m trying to set up an archive page for my projects with a search and filter bar at the top, filtering mainly on categories.
I have followed the steps for Elementor Pro from your documentation, as far as I could get, but it’s not working.
For instance, Elementor Post/Product/Portfolio Widget is not displaying in the display method, Search & Filter Query is not in the Source dropdown list…

Can you help me out, please?
