The standard method we have for integration (https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/) may not work, as I do not think we have tested with that plugin.

The only alternative is to create one form per page (unique URL) and use the Custom display results method, which I suspect is not what you want (you want one form to use on all archive pages, yes?).

Hello,

I am working on an website for short stories using elementor CPT and ACF. I have created a single elementor template on which i display my short stories by genres (via taxonomy) dynamically, using dynamic content plugin. (http://oddlycinematic.com/library-all/family/).
I did not use the archive/posts widget because my requirement is for admins to be able to generate genre pages via the standard wordpress cms.
In addition, i would like to create filters for this template on which i could filter stories by reading time and country (which is another custom taxonomy).
Is it possible to achieve this with search and filter pro while using the dynamic posts widget from “dynamic content”?

Hi, the results of the filter are not showing what i expected. I’m using elementor pro and i have downloaded the extra plugin for elementor, i followed the steps, the search works to a certain extent. It keeps showing me the top 4 latest results and not the desired result. I’m using ACF fields and taxonomy and its not working

I also have a similar problem, the ajax call to elementor renders the page, but doesnt include post content render. When I open the same URL in a browser window (the ajax url) the search performs as expected.

To answer your questions.

#1 Here you will find the reset option in the Form UI:

#2 Our plugin does not directly allow you to do text searches of individual Post Meta (custom fields) and Taxonomy (Category, Tags and Taxonomies) data/terms. The Search & Filter Pro Text Search field uses the standard WordPress search, so looks only in the Post Title and Content. To help you control this better, on the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.

The documentation for this is here:

You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.

Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).

Ah, there is a problem there.

Generally, it is not a good idea to have multiple parent/child trees within a single taxonomy (it may be that you have found this to be the case). In relation to our plugin, when designing forms, you can use a data term source only once per form, but you may well want multiple fields, each based on one or other of those parent/child trees. It is much better to split the taxonomy (in your case Category?) up into smaller chunks of terms. This happens a lot on WordPress sites, so there are already some very good tools to make it easier.
