Thanks very much! This has worked like a charm. An addition ACF:extended adds a hidden field to the ACF fields, which works perfectly for this use-case.
One more question:
I have a ACF taxonomy (hierarchically). There’s one for “exhibition history” and one for “artists history with individual artists”. Both have two pages (elementor with post grid) to show either the documents of the exhibition history or the artist history.
Right now the numbers slider (dates), set to auto min/max value show all values in the database.
Would it be possible to make these min-max values for the slider dependent on the posts, which are actually displayed in the grid. I use the S&F “Tags, Categories & Taxonomies” filter to make the first filtering regarding “artists history” & “exhibition history”

Hello,
I have a question regarding the numbers range search filter.
I am using ACF Pro + Elementor Pro and have two custom metas (date-start) and (date-end).
The retun value of the ACF Pro fields are set to Ymd.
I have now set the filter to Range-Slider (number) and Auto deteced the min & max vaules.
It works as it is supposed to. I want to use the “slider” feature.
But now I want to alter the filter in the way, that it only uses the Y (and ignores the md) value of the fields.
It will be used for a historic document database, where the user should be possible to filter out a year range, but I need to have the whole date (Ymd) associated with the entry for other display reasons.
Would it be possible to change the query in a way that it uses only the first 4 values (Y) of the field for sorting?

Hi, thank you for this amazing plugin, it bring me to a complete brand new way to use customs fields in elementor.
I read all the documentation and applied at my best all infos, sadly there are no result in my search.
The customs fields are show in the search module, with dropdown i choose the selection and click on submit button. From here all ok, I will be redirected to the Search page where the shortcode is, but no result appears. Pleas can you help me? thank you

On pages that have dynamic content, you should disable any CDN.
Other than that, I cannot understand why it would be so slow. It may be content weight (images etc), but it should not be making that much of a difference.
Yes, our demo doesn’t use much by way of plugins, but neither Elementor nor Ele Custom Skins are that slow. I would check the assets loading cascade to see where the issue is. To do that, switch off the DN and then load the site from here:

Make sure you test it from a server location near to where yours is really located (with DO you should know that anyway).

Thank you for your quick response. I’ve seen your demo and it is super fast – which is why I’m questioning my setup. Based on the number of posts and filterable taxonomies you have, mine shouldn’t be too much different.
The server is setup on Gridpane which is a comparable stack to cloudways. It’s way beyond a $10 box though… abotu 32x beyond. It’s the only site on the server so we have some performance tweaks as well in regards to PHP, MySQL, etc.
Can I ask how you are creating your feed/loop? I am using Ele Custom Skin with Elementor Pro along with the SFP Elementor Add-on. I’m not confident that is the best approach though. I see you’re using Twenty Seventeen which I know is clean and light as well.
There IS a way to do that, which would involve using our Post Type Archive method. The problem is that you have chosen to use Beaver Builder, and because of the way it makes pages, we cannot integrate into an archives page, only a single page, hence your need to make a lot of pages with a form for each.
This is a problem common with many page builder plugins, like Site Origin, WPBakery Page Builder and more.
Some Page builders do follow the WordPress Codex in the way they create archive post pages so that we can access the wp_query(); for example Divi Builder and Elementor Pro. So, in the integration guide for that page builder:

You will see that you can use the Post Type Archives method, and from there you can autodetect the archive page you are on (our plugin pre-selects the field selection based on the archive page slug) and it stays within the URLs of the archive pages.
We are unable to do this for Beaver Builder.

I’m using shortcode display (ajax) for listing woocommerce products. The list search page lists woocommerce products (using Elementor). The woocommerce fields (price, sku, etc.) display properly, but the ACF fields on those product pages do not display until I trigger a search (or reset the search after the page loads). The ACF fields do then pick up their values and display properly. How can I get the ACF fields to display on page load without having to perform a search?
