Hi,
I’ve got my new search filter working really well.
http://williamhuxley.com.au/listings-new
The issue that I’m having is that when you type in the suburb ‘Heidelberg’ in the ‘Search by suburb or address’ field in the form, it shows all the right ones. But the last 3 all show Ivanhoe, this is because within those properties, inside the content editor, the word Heidelberg appears, hence it’s being shown on the results section.
Is there a way to only search the post title and not the content within the post itself? I can’t find anything to do this in the settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dayne
Hi Dayne
If you are searching for the word Heidelberg using the textual search box, the default functionality of S&F (which reflects what WordPress does) is to search in The Post Title and Post Content. But you don’t want it to do that, so you need to replace the WordPress search system.
If you install the WP Extended Search plugin it will do just that, and then you can set it to search only in the Titles. I believe no special support is needed in S&F for this plugin.
