    Hi,

I’m using the theme Uncode. I have been trying to use the extension for VC so my results display with masonry / isotope. However, I cant find how to insert the data source. I found this thread:

    https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/style-results-to-fit-theme-vc/

But cant see what the solution was since it was marked private. Please advice.

    Thanks!

    Susana

    Does this post help?

It is fairly simple. You must use a VC grid element of course (there are four I think; Post, Masonry Post, Media and Masonry Media).

Thanks Trevor! Yes, I’m using the Post Masonry but can’t seem to make it work.

    Hi

The current version of Visual Composer is 5.1.0

You have 4.12.1 installed. That is the issue. Did it come free with the theme, and is an update available from the theme author?

    Hi Trevor,

Yes it came with the theme. However, in this thread it seemed to work for a person with the same theme as me. Do you know how it was fixed?

    Thanks!

I think so, yes. Just above the grid the user inserted a shortcode like this (works in S&F Pro V2.3.3 and higher):

    [searchandfilter id='123' action='filter_next_query']

Where you would change the ID to the number for your form. At least, I think that is what was done.

I’m facing the same issue! Were you able to get it to work Susana?

    Hi Vikas,

Yes, I was able to solve it thanks to Trevor. Insert the shortcode (Trevor mentions it in the above reply) inside a text box above your grid. Make sure to use the ID of your search form (lets call it “search form 1”). In your Search Form 1 settings go to the tab “display results”, select Visual Composer Post Grid and insert the url of the page where to show the results, lets call this “page 2”. I created a duplicate of my original page to show the results, so page 2 is identical to my original page. Duplicate your Search Form 1 and create a “search form 2”. In the search form 2 go to the tab “display results”, select Visual Composer Post Grid and insert the url of your original page. Above the grid in Page 2 insert the shortcode for your search from 2. Each page should include their corresponding search form, in the original page Search Form 1 and in Page 2 the Search Form 2. Your filter should work by displaying the results from one page to the other. The downside is that you have to jump from one page to the other to see the results, for the user it just seems they are refreshing the page. I wish that didn’t happen but for now it was the only solution I could find.

If you manage to make it work without having to jump from one page to the other please let me know.

    Cheers!
