Hi I’m using Search & Filter to show results of interpreters in any one area and in any one domain – but seems to be not showing correct results – e.g. 28 interpreters (as shown in count), area Highland (9 shown in count) and select Female (27 shown in count) – I’d expect only the females from the area ‘Highland’ but all females are returned (27 as shown in count)
Page is: http://www.sasli.org.uk/directory/
any assistance appreciated
Thanks Andy
Trevor(Private) January 20, 2017 at 1:55 pm #84079The big issue is that you must not use category (or any other form field) more than once in a form. If you have multiple parent/child relationships in categories, it might be better to have separate custom taxonomies for these. This post tries to explain this a bit better (you can use a plugin to switch category terms from category to any new taxonomy that you make, so it is not so hard to do). It is a really awful preachy lecture I wrote ? :

Sorry about the tone, but the message is right and it links to good plugins (except taxonomy switcher I think). If I missed anything (I probably did, my apologies), follow up and nudge me.
Anonymous(Private) January 29, 2017 at 4:38 pm #86486Just about to launch into the unknown of Advanced Custom Fields & Custom Post Types :o)
Can I check then, I create one new ‘Field Group’ with each of my ‘types’ by adding new Fields for each then in a new post just select these for each person:as explained in initial question?
I’ve opened the Advanced Custom Field and looks kind of straight forward but thought to give you a nudge :o)
Thanks
