In my understanding what should be the case is that if I have a term fruit with children called banana, apple, and tomato and have three posts with these children selected than than I should see in the taxonomy filter something like this:

fruit (3)
- banana (1)
- apple (1)
- tomato (1)

And filtering on fruit should return the three posts with the three child terms selected. The only thing is this is not the case. For me the view looks the same as described above, but when filtering on fruit no posts will be shown (because none of the posts have the term fruit selected, but do have the child terms)

Is there some setting I am missing or am I understanding the function wrong?
