    Hi Ross,
    it might be a long shot but there’s a way to make the search text field just one for tags and text?

    Something like this search: http://devpost.com/software

    so when you type # adds a tag and when you simply type is considered text.

    Sort of. You can install Relevanssi (and remember to enable this in the S&F form Advanced tab) and in the Relevanssi settings get it to index tags etc and build the index. Not sure you need the @’s and #’s.

    Hi Trevor thanks for the answer.

    Can you please elaborate a little bit more about the relevance indexing?
    I installed it, flagged on S&F advanced the relevansi option.

    But on my search form I have now to use just the text field and do something on Relevanssi settings?

    Just the one (normal) search field will link to the relevanssi index by simply setting the checkbox on in the S&F form’s advanced settings.

    Setting up Relevanssi can be a pain, as there are so many options, so read down those to make sure you did it right, then test it.

    Thanks Trevor,
    but I thought Relevanssi was just a “sort by best match” plugin nothing special.
    Don’t see any option where I can have one bar and use # prefix for tags and then none for normal text.

    The S&F cache will only contain results from the main text (content) area of posts. Relevanssi adds the ability to add tags and categories (I think), which Search and filter does not. What you cannot do is to specify which type each word applies to.

    so basically I won’t be able to add the # prefix but the search field will be for categories, tags and text?
