    How can use Search & Filter (S&F) to filter results after I visit a category by clicking a link e.g. directly, or by using a WordPress category navigation menu to get to a category? Right now the only way S&F is “aware” I am on a category page is if I add a categories pull-down (or radio or whatever) menu to S&F search and then visit a category by selecting a category from that menu.

    I searched the forums, googled etc. with no success. Thank you in advance for any help or pointers.

    How about if you add categories to the form, but use CSS to hide it (display: none;) and use the Detect defaults from current page options to detect what category is being used?

    Thanks! I tried that before, but it did not work, so I assumed that was a separate issue to the one I reported earlier. I tried it again just now using new categories and it works! Fixing the search issue fixed this too. Yay!
