    Is it possible to have more than one pages with Search and Filter Pro in the same site if we use Easy Digital Downloads?

    Now i have one site, with Easy Digital Downloads, with the shortcodes:

    [searchandfilter id=”29″ action=”prep_query”]
    [downloads columns=3 number=18]

    And is it working with no problems, but now, because i have a lot of custom taxonomies, i would like to split the custom taxonomies in two pages (one catalog with 3d illustrations and other with 2d illustrations).

    The problem is i have the same search and filters i both pages.
    what i should do?

    Do the catalogs have the same layout ([downloads columns=3 number=18]) and is it a custom taxonomy that has either 3d illustrations or 2d illustrations?

    I just install EDD, and i create 4 custom taxonomy (categories), then what i did is to use it in the site, and is it working,

    now my problem.

    the taxonomies are going to be different. One custom taxonomy category for 3d and other for 2d. I want split in two pages because the number of subcategories are too many. But also i want to offer it in two pages because one custom taxonomy is for 3d and the other is for 2d. Not relationships between 2d and 3d illustrations at all.

    i did a copy of the searchandfilter and i did change some things (in the search form ui also with the new Results URL inside of Display results method) in order to see if it is working, but it is not. what i have is the same searchandfilter in both pages.

    OK, I understand. The standard install of EDD and S&F assumes just one shop page with one filter, but that would not appear to suit your purposes. I will ping Ross so he can take a look and think on this. I think it would require that you have different shop pages (templates) for different category/custom taxonomies, which is the first problem you need to resolve.

    Does your theme allow this? If not, I do know of a plugin that claims to do this, but I do NOT know if this does what you need, and that plugin is called WordPress Custom Taxonomy & Category Pages. What I do not know is if that will do what you want, and whether Search & Filter Pro can then handle this (but it should because this other plugin will give you different urls to use, and that is all S&F needs to have different searches in use). I cannot endorse this plugin as I have not used it myself. Again, Ross may know better/more.

    We have litle experience in wordpress but we can handle the creation of one template for each shop page if that is the solution. Our theme have several templates (we use Marketify), sure we could create 4 more, one for each “shop” and then to use in each page one different search form.

    The key is that search and filter pro needs a discrete URL and an actual page in WordPress. As such you may not need a different template (we make no changes to the EDD templates). Let me give an example. I have an EDD test site with S&F on. The shop page is this:

    http://sandfdev.cdnwebservices.net/shop/

    This is actually a special version of this:

    http://sandfdev.cdnwebservices.net/downloads/

    It is special because the shop link is actually a page in the WordPress admin, whereas the downloads url is one that WordPress creates for the downloads CPT archives.

    Let us imagine that I wanted to have a page just for poems (a downloads category in my shop). The WordPress created url for this page is:

    http://sandfdev.cdnwebservices.net/downloads/category/poems/

    But, in order for you to control the EDD layout and to add the S&F form and filter, you need an actual page in WordPress, but there isn’t one. Which is where that plugin I linked to, I suspect, comes in. But I would prefer Ross to comment, as he knows way more than me.

    Hey Toni

    Trevor is correct.

    The easiest way to get setup is to create 4 pages with the [downloads] shortcode and then create 4 search forms for each one – of course you must also include the prep_query shortcodes on each page too.

    We did copy and paste the Shop template of EDD 2 times with 2 diferent names. We can see the templates name in the pages in the Page Atributes – Templates. We did select each template for each page. Then, we did create two search forms and we did copy each one in one diferent page. like:
    [searchandfilter id=”29″ action=”prep_query”]
    [downloads columns=3 number=18]

    and

    [searchandfilter id=”85″ action=”prep_query”]
    [downloads columns=3 number=18]

    but we can not see the seach foms.
