Hi there, I can not find in the documentation. Can you tell me wether it’s possible to let the website visiter sort the filtered results?
I can’t find an example like that on this page:
http://docs.designsandcode.com/search-filter/#examplesBut this pages suggests that it’s possible:
http://demo.designsandcode.com/sfpro-woo-mystile/product-search/But maybe that’s only for woocommerce?
Hope tot hear from you,
Thanks

The first link you put was to the docs for the free version of the plugin.
Pro docs are here:
https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/getting-started/
And for sort order ๐ :
https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/getting-started/adding-new-fields/
Hope that helps

thank you for your response.
Do I understand correctly that the sort function is only available in the Pro function?If so, than I have 2 follow-up questions.
1) Can I switch easily from the free to the pro version without rebuilding my filter setup?
2) I have coded the filter function in the sidebar as php do_shortcode function now. Something like this
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[searchandfilter
fields=”fase,domein,hulpvraag,bron,documentsoort”
headings=”Fase,Domein,Hulpvraag,Bron,Documentsoort”
types=”checkbox,checkbox,checkbox,checkbox,checkbox”
submit_label=”Filter selectie”
]’); ?>But I cannot find an example how to add the sort option to such a shortcode.
I would like to make sure that it’s possible before I start moving over to the PRO version.Hope to hear from you… Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) March 22, 2016 at 10:10 am #40127Hey Han
Yes you are correct the sort function is only available in Pro ๐**EDIT – I forgot, yes free does have an “order by” option (http://docs.designsandcode.com/search-filter/#options)
RE your questions:
1) You can disabled free, work on pro, disable pro and work on free no problem. The only issue is right now both plugins cannot be active at the same time – they do not affect each other so feel free to modify one without worry for the other.
2) Pro does not take shortcode parameters like this, Pro has a drag and drop UI (in the admin menu) to create all those parameters – when complete, all you need is the ID (provided) so you would use it like:
[searchandfilter id='123456']Thanks
Anonymous(Private) March 25, 2016 at 2:27 pm #40540Thanks for your response.
The order_by in the free version though is not a select field like in the Pro version as far as I can tell.
By now the client has decided to skip the sorting functionality.
But it’s good to know how it works for another time…Thank you!
