    Hi,
    I have different post types on my website and i wanted to know if it was possible to search in name of post types. For example, i have post types videos, podcasts, articles, courses etc on my website, I would like all the videos to show up if someone searches for ‘videos’. I know it is possible to use the post type checkbox or dropdown menu but I would like it if it works through the search text field as well. Is that possible ?

    I think this might be possible with Relevanssi plugin. The Relevanssi plugin allows you to search tag and category names, so I think this may be possible too.

    I have the relevanssi plugin installed and activated for my search but its not doing that but I’ll contact relevanssi and see what they say. Thanks for the guidance!

    No worries, to test things with Relevanssi, just remember that by default Relevanssi works with the main WP search, which in most themes is anything with the ?s=searchterm in the URL.

    So when speaking to them, test using default WP search:

    yourdomain.com/?s=searchterm

    Once this is working, we can integrate with S&F.
