Hi Ross,
I tried to do an auto-update this morning from my WP installation, but it keeps failing….actually it just never completes – the little spinner just keeps spinning, no progress. If I refresh my plugins page, it shows the old version and that an update is (still) available. Have tried three times without luck.
SO I went back to my recent (4-days ago) license renewal purchase receipt to download the newest version thinking I’d just try to install manually, but it says my download link has expired.
Can you please give me a new download link? Also I’m concerned that if I have to manually update, what will happen to my filters and settings? I have several pretty complex filters setup – it will be a nightmare if I have to try to recreate them…..

You can always download the latest version from your account:

In terms of updating – to keep S&F data in tact the best procedure is as follows:
1) Disabled S&F (do not remove!)
2) Remove S&F via FTP
3) Upload new S&F files
4) Enable S&FAs long as you don’t remove it, and you disable the plugin before removing the files, you should be fine to upgrade this way.
Sorry for the update issues, they seem to be widespread atm which I am fighting with my host to resolve… :/
