Hi! Loving the plugin! I went through the documentation and couldn’t find this answer so hoping what i am trying to do is possible…

I know that I can customize the shortcode for the Search Form shortcode, but is there a way to use the results shortcode to limit the scope of the results returned? For instance, I want to be able to filter the results by a specific Tag and Category so that the search form searches within only these areas.

Of course, I can do this by creating a new search form and use all the tools in there, but I was hoping this could be controlled dynamically using the shortcode instead, because for my purposes I would need to duplicate the search form hundreds of times.

For example, I am wondering if something like this is possible: [searchandfilter id=”8485″ show=”results” tag=”unit1″]

Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance!

    Hey Joel

I’m afraid this is not possible but a great idea.

To edit the arguments on teh fly, you would have to use the filter described here:

    https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/action-filter-reference/#Edit_Query_Arguments

    Thanks
