Hi Ross
Hope you’re well. I’ve just bought a single-site licence and have a question (I see a couple of people have asked this in the past – but I couldn’t see a definitive public answer.)
I want to have just a search box on a page, with the results showing on an advanced search page that includes various other filters based on Postmeta (using the ACF plugin). I’ve set this up successfully: the results from the global keyword search display on the advanced search page.
However, I want the Postmeta filters on the advanced search page to filter only the subset of results generated by the keyword search on the first page. But when I apply filters, the search appears to be searching *all* posts again, not the subset just generated.
Is there a way around this?
Thanks in advance,
Howard.

Filtering on the ‘advanced’ search page would then be on both the initial search term + postmeta (my intented outcome).
Is this recommended/easily achieved?
Thanks again,
Howard.

You can delete this/mark as resolved. After some pondering, it struck me that a much neater solution would be simply to have one form, and use CSS to hide all the form elements apart from the search box on the first page. Job done!
Thanks – and congrats on a v impressive plugin!
Howard.
