    Hi,

I am looking for help with search and Advanced Custom fields. I was originally using repeater fields, but i read that these will no work. Is that correct. So i am just trying to use basic fields.

I added the search everything plugin, when i do a search for a word, it returns a correct result when using the normal WP search. But when i use the S&F search, it does not return a result.

I am just using posts, not custom post types and ideally i want my client to be able to add documents to a post, and then when someone searches they can find documents, but see the post that the document was shown on. I am also using your plugin so they can filter categories and tags etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi James

Yes for now repeater fields dowt work automatically, but I’ve read from users there may be a way to hack it.

I’m working on integrating this feature, hopefully over the next week.

To power the search boxes in S&F, we added support for Relevanssi:

    http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/

Although I have heard our users’ mention they have got it working with Search Anything.

Give Relevanssi a spin and follow the setup instructions.

    Thanks

Sorry for the reply, i have been busy on another project. Thanks for your reply and also looking to add repeater fields, that will be very useful.

I just wanted to check that using Relevanssi, should that make custom fields appear in results, as it did not when i tried. It may be a caching issue, but i just wanted to check that normal custom fields like text fields will appear in search results. Just so i know i am doing something wrong, rather than this is a feature which will never work.

    Thanks for your help

I have now solved the problem, well i have it working. I added a membership plugin, which restricted access to content for reason. So searches where not working. Thanks for your help
