Tagged: search field
In doing some testing, I noticed that the search field does not return anything if you search for text that is within a custom field or that is a custom taxonomy. http://67.227.198.26/~necleanenergy/residential/photos/ In this example it seem like if I type in, “Asphalt Shingle” I should see the same results as if I had checked that box under, “Roof Materials.” It also doesn’t seem to be searching within custom fields. For example there is a custom field with the date, so if someone search 2014 and that was the result shouldn’t it some up? Is there a modification I need to do to make the search field more extensive or can it only search the main text?
Yup the search field doesn’t search those things, however we’ve provided integration with Relevanssi which does allow this: http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/
Thanks
