    Hello,

I am developing a new theme on our website, Divi by Elegant Themes. Now, I cannot save any categories to include for the filter. I have a screenshot here: http://prntscr.com/965pcr

I put the categories in the field separated with a coma no space as below and click update and it returns an empty field again.

    137,139,134,138,67,131,141,132,135,133,142,136,75,140

I figured it out. I need to put my plugin override templates/files in my child theme. It is displaying the correct categories now, but my values are not saved in the field UI as shown in my previous screenshot.

    Hey Colette

Did you use the magnifying glass to select your IDs?

Also, by any chance are you using WPML? This has come up once before and it was related to the IDs being translated.

    Thanks

I am using Polylang. So that could be issue?

    Hi Colette

Well the issue might be the same as polylang uses some similar methods.

The issue I am aware of, is when a user has not translated their category terms.

When a search form is saved/updated, the IDs get passed to WPML/PolyLang, and S&F asks to translate them to the IDs of the search form in the correct language.

So I think either, you need to create translations for your category/category terms, or something else is not setup right.

Are your search forms setup as translations of eachother? If you create 1 search form in lets say English, and then a seperate search form in Spanish, there could be issues.

What you need to make sure you do is click the + to create translations of the search form too:

    Thanks
