I’m using the Woocommerce display along with checkboxes to filter products in a range of different parent categories which then have their own sub categories. Basically each category has its own filter that is then output depending on if it’s on the right page.
The problem is that when a filter item is selected the Woocommerce shop page is loaded (in this case /products) and the filter disappears and there’s no results displayed either.
Any ideas?

I think the issue here is that you may only set 1 search form to “WooCommerce Shop” setting under display results?
Does this sound like your issue?
Basically, before the page loads, and the search form is loaded, S&F looks through all the search forms, find the first one set to “WooCommerce Shop” and applies the logic from that form to the results.
Thanks

No, sorry that’s not it. I should have included a link:

I have more than one search form set to “WooCommerce Shop” but as soon as a filter item is checked it redirects to the main shop page and “No products were found matching your selection.”
Thanks,

You can only have 1 search form set to WooCommerce shop – I think this is causing your issue.
Can you do a limited test, and set only 1 to use this display method and see if it working ok?
Thanks

Yeah so I did that – so that’s it as far as the search results go then.
So I’ll need to just use the short code versions so I can have multiple Search Forms and also so that the right one shows up depending on the parent category being viewed.
The problem I have then is that there’s no custom ordering of the products displayed which is very important to my client. Are there any other ways I might be able to implement custom ordering of the products?
Thanks,
GabrielRoss Moderator(Private) October 27, 2015 at 9:31 pm #28375Hey Gabriel, I think there could be a workaround – if you set your search form to display results using a shortcode, then enter in the shop URL in the “results URL” then I think you will be able to get multiple search forms working together?
Anonymous(Private) October 28, 2015 at 5:54 am #28390Hey Ross had no luck there either so I went back to the original set up with short codes, only thing there is that then the custom sort for the posts doesn’t work. Any ideas there?
Would be great to be able to custom order the search form filter items too but I can get by with that 🙂
Apart from that it’s good to go.

Did you try under the Posts tab to change the order there?
Try changing the order to
menu_order
and see if that works 😉Thanks
