    There is a problem with the author filter. When filtering based on the product category or product type, the counting for the authors is not updated.
    Also, although it is set to hide empty authors (with no posts), they still show up in the list.

    The Auto Count feature does not apply to the Author field, sorry. In the form setting, this note is under the checkbox:

    Dynamically update the count number shown and also calculate which options to hide in your tag, category, taxonomy & post meta (choice) fields.

    You see it does not include the author field.

    This may change (but I am not sure) in V3, due in a few months.

    Hi, wondering what’s the status on this?

    And if it’s still in dev, is there a filter in V2 that I could manually hook into to filter out authors that have no posts attached (in a certain category)?

    You can change the terms offered in a form field and substitute you own list using this filter:

    V3 is still under development, and getting closer.
