Before we changed over to a new site a couple of weeks ago, we were using Search & Filter pro for the last 4 years under our previous developer’s license key. I’ve since bought my own and hired a new developer.
We have both content and recipes in every blog post on our site. Search & Filter Pro used to be able to pick up posts that have specific ingredients (eg. Cheese) when someone searched our recipes. Right now it’s returning everything in a post with the word cheese in it. Both the content and recipe.
We only want Search & Filter to return results with cheese as an ingredient. How do we do this?
Here is my current developer and she made a video to demonstrate what we’re trying to achieve.

If not, it may help you control the search better. On the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi (one of which is Relevance).
The documentation for this is here:
https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/
You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.
Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, content, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).
It may be necessary to tell it not to search content, excerpts and title. However, be warned that doing this will limit general site searches. Relevanssi does also have filters (hooks) to allow further control, from the child theme functions.php file.
At this time, Search & Filter does not give you a mechanism to add a search field that searches a specific term/data source, although I think it is something we plan to add at some point (but maybe not soon).
