Tagged: V3
I have an archive showing cars for sale. It has a search form.
I duplicated the search form, reduced a few fields to make it simpler, and put it on the front page.
I get this error message: “Error: There are 2 Search Forms set to use Post Type Archive display mode … you may only have 1”
Why? What possible difference does it make?
Can you remove this limitation?
Because, with the way our plugin currently works, they will conflict with each other, as these type of forms attach themselves to the template for the post type archive. The easiest solution for now is to use custom CSS on the Home page to hide some fields (the Home page always has a classname on the body tag of home
), OR, another idea …
If a search on the Home Page would redirect to the shop page, you could make it a Custom form, set with Ajax off, and the results URL as the shop page. That would work.
V3 of our plugin (due in a few months or so), should address your original question.
