Hello again, Trevor:
Having a slight problem I’m hoping you can help on. My filters were working well, until recently. I’m not too sure when they stopped working, unfortunately. Most significant site changes recently were updating to WP 5.6, and adding a new translation plugin (Polylang).
I tried disabling all the non-essential plugins, including the translation plugin, and that didn’t help. I also tried enabling the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, but that also had no effect.
I’m displaying two filters on a Beaver Builder page using the bb_posts_module method. I spent several hours poring over the settings in S&F, ACF, and CPT UI and I’m drawing a blank as to why it stopped working.
The most revealing thing I can tell you is that, after nothing else worked, I duplicated my S&F form (“Tour Features”) as “Tour Features – Test”, and then added its shortcodes to a test page (in BB HTML modules), and there the filters work. This seems to suggest that possibly the “Search & Filter – Beaver Builder Extension” could be the source of the issue.
Do you have any thoughts on this?
I’ll add URLs and a login in a private reply, if you care to take a look.
Thanks!
E.
Ross Moderator(Private) December 21, 2020 at 1:11 pm #270503Hi Edward
It sounds like a compatibility issue thats cropped up – we probably need tweak something in the extension – I’ve set some time aside to go through this tomorrow.
RE compatibility with WP 5.6 – the only JS issues we’ve seen were in admin – and they were only warnings (which we have fixed in the next release coming up).
I’ll let you know what I find, and hopefully have a fix if required.
Thanks

I’m so embarrassed! I’ve taken a look and can confirm that you are correct. It seems that our graphic designer took it upon himself to redo that page without telling anyone, and in doing so he removed the posts module that used to be on the right side and replaced it with static content modules. I didn’t notice, because the content area he made looks very similar to the one I originally made with the posts module. He pretty much broke the whole thing for what amounts to a cosmetic change. I’m kicking myself for not having checked that.
I’ve very sorry that this has wasted your time, Ross and Trevor (and a considerable amount of my time troubleshooting my S&F filter and ACF settings as well). I thank you very kindly for the time you took on this.
Edward
