Tagged: dropdown, order terms
Hello!
I’ve made a search form with two dropdowns – each one with their own custom taxonomy. Both are made with the taxonomy-field in the Search Form UI. I’ve tried with the Order terms by under Advanced settings for the field, but without any changes to the dropdown – it looks like it defaults to creation date instead of any of the options selected.
Settings:
General: Custom post type, auto submit form enabled.
Display results: using a shortcode.
I think those are the relevant settings.
The problem is this plugin (and all plugins of this type that allow drag and drop reordering of taxonomies or posts):
Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
I have deactivated it for you.
They typically use the WordPress pre_get_posts()
function and thus override our filter settings.
I then set the sort order for that field back to default.
