Forums › Forums › Search & Filter Pro › Multiple Values in One Post Meta
Hello,
Hope you are well.
How can I use multiple values (e.g. 6,7,8,9) in a single post meta?
For instance, a user is searching for a vehicle. We display several types of vehicles. The user needs Vehicle type A. So, the user searches for the “Vehicle type A”.
The issue is that I cannot select it as a category and only through Post Meta, so I need to combine several values into one vehicle type. Please see detailed steps below.
Edit Search Form > Available Fields > Post Meta
Search Form UI > Post Meta X > Choice > Input Type Checkbox / Options Manual Entry
Manual Entry > Value “6,7,8,9” > Label “Vehicle Type A”
Thank you!
So, you field has number in it, and a group of numbers all relate to a vehicle type (I presume the numbers are also used for other purposes), so you might have 20 numbers, but just 4 vehicle types. I cannot think of a way to do this other than to have a second custom field with the Vehicle Type in, so that you then are not using the numbers for the purposes of searching/filtering.
