    hi
    just updated the license key to work with the main domain,
    our dev environment is a subdomain and we cant update the plugin automatically.
    any suggestions?

    You have to manually update that dev site, by downloading from Your Account the new zip file, and then use Plugins -> Add New to install it, as WordPress 5.5+ has a new feature to allow updates using this method without removing the previous version.
