Sorry, for my string of questions. It will slow down once I get going.
In regards to Post Meta, can I only search against numbers? For example, if I have cities as a post meta. I want to search/match against Denver for example. Can I not do this?
Thanks.
Anonymous(Private) October 6, 2015 at 8:39 am #26595I have the same question. I’m using a rating plugin, and i want to filter by rating from 1-5
But it seems i’am using it wrong, as it gives no changes at all.
My general operator is OR
When i’m filtering a filed with 3 results using 1-2 range rating (there’s not post rated as this), no changes. It’s including all post, with rating or not.
When i select a field with no result along with a 0-5 range rating (which, with a OR operator, should return only 2 postes), there’s no changes to the query (not post returned)?sfid=140&_sfm_mr_rating_results=0+5&_sft_pieces=bionicles
In meta, i’ve got mr_rating_results and the meta seems correct…
Ross Moderator(Private) October 6, 2015 at 2:16 pm #26625@maitresinh – I think you are describing a different issue – please open a new ticket.
@working2015 – currently you can use the choice tab in the post meta field, and use “auto suggest” to populate the options – I’m working on something for this so its more automated
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) October 6, 2015 at 5:04 pm #26634@Ross . Thanks for the tip. However, this would make a very long list, which I wouldn’t want to do. I am thinking that the only way to search against a text field (not area) is to use something like Relevanssi . Is this correct? I think it would be helpful if you reiterated even more somewhere in your document that you cant search against text fields. I did see a few posts with my same confusion.
Anyways, just my two cents : ) !
