    Hi,

I am using Search & Filter with a shortcode and the search page constructed has worked well (at https://i2insights.org/test-page-search-output-page/), but I am trying (without success) to get the search to land on the results, which are underneath the search form.

The search page was built within Elementor Pro and the GeneratePress theme. It was set-up using the Search and Filter instructions for Elementor Pro with the Elementor Posts widget (https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/).

The Search & Filter plugin Ajax settings which appear to offer the ‘land on results’ functionality, within the settings under ‘Display Results’, did not appear to work. So, I used the Javascript code you supplied on this forum page (https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/scroll-to-results-after-new-page-has-opened/) and through a Javascript plugin the Javascript was added to the page (header).

When the above failed to work, I tried the Javascript on a standard page with a Search & Filter shortcode and the Javascript worked. It would appear that Elementor is foiling the Javascript.

I am wondering if you would know what extra code would be required to get the Javascript to work within Elementor so as to have the search to land on the results?

    Thanks for your time,
    Best wishes,
    Peter

You say you are using the Shortcode method, and I can see that the form is set to shortcode. For Elementor Pro, and you say you followed the method in the guide, you should be using the Elementor Post method, and for that you should be using the extra Elementor Pro extension that can be downloaded from the guide page (if you are logged in, it is a blue button at the top of the page). Do you have that extension installed?

    Hi Trevor,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I can confirm that I loaded the ‘Search & Filter – Elementor Extension’ during the initial build on the search page.

In regards the settings, in the Elementor Posts widget on the search page, in the ‘Content’ tab, in the ‘Query’ drop-down option, I had the ‘Source’ set as ‘Search & Filter Query’ and the ‘Search & Filter Query’ is set to ‘Search and filter’ – shortcode version’.

    Hopefully, I had that right.

    Cheers, Peter
