Hi, I’ve been trying to get the search working with Jet Engine Listings I’ve created on my development site. I followed this post https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/jet-listing-grid/ but I can’t seem to get this to work. Specifically I can’t work out where I put the shortcode, I’ve tried in various places but I still can’t seem to get this to play nicely.

Can you help with this please.

    Thanks

I see that this is on the Therapists archive posts page, which means that the post type likely has the has_archive setting on. Do you need this to be on any other page URL than this?

Does the search work with Ajax off?

I see that you also have a real page with the same url. If the has_archive setting is OFF, does the search then work with Ajax OFF (I think this route – with has_archive off – is more likely to work than the other)?

When you tried this second option, did you also add the ‘filter_next_query’ shortcode to the page?

    Hi Trevor,

Thanks for the reply. I’ve got it working by using the Therapist Archive page with shortcode, the display results method set to “post type archive” and Ajax off – The second method (archive setting Off) didn’t work I got a 404 error page.

I’ve got another question, I’d like to create a geo location search. eg each post would be associated with a location with ACF or possibly another plugin. Do you have any method of using Search & Filter Pro with geo-locations. Can I set up location searches with the plugin?

Any documentation or posts relating to this would be a massive help.

    Thanks

    Rob

Geolocation is on our to do list, I am sorry it is not ready yet, or even soon. Once we have released V3, in a few months, it will be on our radar for (maybe) v3.1.
