I’ve looked through the forum and I’m not seeing an answer to this problem. I’m using Pods to add custom fields to each Post. For example, the site is all books. I have a custom field called Series on the Post that is filled with a text string. So, I want to be able to include that data in searches. Let’s say someone knows the name of a book’s series (“The Unknown Detective”) and wants to find other books in that series. They should be able to put “The Unknown Detective” into search and find all those books, even if that series name is not mentioned anywhere in the Post BUT in the custom field. That’s not happening currently and I don’t know how to turn it on so that Search & Filter Pro indexes the data in the custom fields. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The documentation for this is here:
https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/
You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.
Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).
