Hi there,
I am having an issue with Search and filter Pro not ‘picking up’ advanced custom fields as an option when dragging down the Post Meta into the search form UI.
I’m guessing this is an issue with my configuration as this is new to me, but seem to be going around in circles.
Two things with ACF.
First, the field names will not appear until you have used them in posts (saved terms to the posts). We do not look in the Field Group definitions, but instead at where they have been used.
Second, ACF makes 3 meta keys per field, like this (in this example for a field named ‘suburb’):
#1 _suburb
#2 field_5d5e7ec69feb6
#3 suburb
In our Meta Key selection list, you need to use key #3, without the underscore at the start of the key name. If you choose #1 by mistake, in the field choices you will see the name of #2 (unless you manually set the options).
