I’ve purchased a theme called LeadEngine (here). The WPBakery (formerly Visual Composer) page builder comes bundled with the LeadEngine theme, but WPBakery isn’t individually licensed (see this). I’ve included this information because I believe it may be relevant to the issue I’m experiencing.
Here’s what’s going on: I’ve installed, activated and licensed S&F Pro successfully. My intention is to use it along with the WPBakery Post Grid element in order to filter the posts shown in the post grid. In attempting to followthese directions, I realized that the available options look different that what the directions tell me to expect. Step 2 of the directions say that I should set the Post Grid data source to Search & Filter, but I don’t see that option. Here’s what I do see:
. I’ve tried selecting the “Search-filter-widget” option that’s available, but this doesn’t fix things.
When trying to follow Step 5 (keep in mind I did this with Search-filter-widget selected since it’s the only relevant option I had), I am unable to set the form display method to “WPBakery – Post or Media (Masonry) Grid Element” as detailed. Instead, these are the options I see:
I am able to follow Step 6 just fine, but this doesn’t do much since the previous steps aren’t working as expected. Might the fact that I don’t have an individual license for WPBakery be a cause for this issue? As far as I know, the LeadEngine-provided version of WPBakery is supposed to work the same as the standalone version (see provided documentation link). I’ve got the latest version of WPBakery I can get installed (v6.2.0), so that shouldn’t be an issue. Is there something else that I’m missing that could be the cause? Perhaps a configuration step after installation that I’m not aware of?
Trevor(Private) August 7, 2020 at 1:42 pm #255357I notice that you are missing the Search & Filter WPBakery Page Builder Extension?
It can be downloaded and then installed from clicking the big blue button at the top of the guide page:
