Hi there,
Did there happen to be a resolution to this problem? As I am experiencing something similar. I purchased the plugin 3 days ago. Our client is also using Divi, and we are implementing the search filter via the shortcode method, with ajax.
However, on page load it states “No results found” until you select something to filter by, and then the results are shown.
Look forward to your response.
Thanks,
SeanTrevor(Private) July 24, 2020 at 3:07 pm #253767The user who started that thread never replied to my reply, so I will never know if it was resolved.
However, is there a reason to be using the shortcode method?
I would have expected you to be using our free Divi extension, found on this guide page for Divi:

Thanks for forwarding that link. Does this module work for custom post types? As that’s what we’re using it for currently.
Also, another issue we have is that we have global taxonomies across the site. But when they are selected as filters for a specific post type they are counted displayed/incorrectly. As they get the post count value of that taxonomy, regardless of which custom post type has been selected for the form.
Thanks,
SeanTrevor(Private) July 24, 2020 at 3:54 pm #253783Our plugin will tell Divi which Post Types you wish to use.
As to ‘global’ taxonomies. Let me explain that this is a very bad idea, with a solution.
Since ‘term splitting’ was introduced in WordPress, it is not recommended to use the same taxonomy across multiple post types – instead you should use Custom Fields to do this, as these can be applied to multiple post types.
When using taxonomies, each taxonomy should generally be applied to a single Post Type.

In regards to the results not displaying by default, do you know what may be causing this?
As mentioned, we’re currently implementing the filter via the shortcode method (as part of a custom Divi module)
The main settings that have been applied are:
– Auto submit form enabled
– Field relationships: AND
– Results are loading using Ajax
– Searches are bookmarkable
– Search field & 9 taxonomy filters (with each taxonomy set to have the OR search operator)When you select a filter, it appears to function correctly but on initial load or if you click reset – no results are shown.

I followed this thread after searching through the forums, which looks like it has fixed my issue, as the site is hosted on WPEngine.
