I enabled ‘Auto Count’ but I am not seeing any difference. How long after its enabled will it be active. I can confirm that yesterday I was using this feature on a different S&F search form and was working well, just wasnt sure if it took some time to become active.

I’m guessing you are referring to 2.0?
If you enable auto count, and then
show countfor each field you should see that they are all reset to(0)while the cache is building.Once the cache is complete it is ready to use.
The only time you might not see a change is if all your fields are set to “OR” relationship as then one field doesn’t affect the other.
If you want to email me a link I can double check its working.
Thanks

Can you take a quick look at my test site – http://gracemedia.org/sermon-search/
Auto-count is now working, and I love this feature. Here’s the issue though:
I enabled ‘auto-count’ to avoid a ‘no results’ when picking selections from multiple drop downs. So in my case if I first pick category = ‘family’, it reduces the available options for ‘speakers’ to show only those with posts on ‘family’ to avoid ‘no results found’ That is an awesome feature! but I had to enable ‘auto-submit’ in order for the form to reduce the options on the other dropdowns. The downside to enabling auto-submit is that I have a search text box on the same form. If I type text in the search box it might auto submit before Im done typing, especially if Im not a fast typer. So, I tried to find an option to have the search box in the form to be ‘non auto-submit’ but I could not find a way. Next I tried to place 2 different S&F forms on the same sidebar (form1 with just a search box, non auto-submit, and form2 with the advanced dropdowns and auto-submit enabled) but this resulted in no results, or wrong results. (http://thenyes.org/sermon-search2/)I hope this is not too confusing. I really admire this plugin.
Can you suggest something that I can try? Thanks for your help!Ross Moderator(Private) September 18, 2015 at 1:11 am #25155Hi Paul
Someone else has noticed this – there is no quick fix I’m afraid – the search form is updated when the results are – but I completely get this use case and will begin work on this immediately once 2.0 is released!
(Minor updates won’t take half as long as this release has taken so don’t worry!)
Thanks
