Could you explain in more detail, maybe with a live link/URL to your search page, what you are trying to do?

Might you be able to show me annotated screenshots of what you are doing? You would need to upload the screenshot images to a file sharing site (like the WordPress Cloudup site) and share the links for them with me?

The search results page in your theme looks different to the page our search goes to. What template are you using here in this setting:
