Tagged: Custom Slug, search form, Supplemental Search Engine
Hello there,
I’m using the search and filter plugin together with the SearchWP plugin for my search solution.
I’m using a supplemental search engine of SearchWP Plugin to be able to search more objects on the site, such as the users. This is what the search form looks like: https://gist.github.com/jchristopher/08761b2ca1c8d30645d28f2b445583bc
However, I’d still like to use the slug and have the filtering of the S&F plugin as explained here: https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/using-default-wp-search-bar-to-show-sf-results-page/#post-243811
Is it possible to use the S&F plugin without the default search engine? Can you advise? Thanks
Search and Filter uses the default search engine for Text searches, so, if you have the text Search box, it will use whatever WordPress uses. Some replacement search plugins it will work with, some it will not. I seem to recall that SearchWP was an issue, but maybe it might have a hook to stop it working on some pages?
Of course, we DO support the free Relevanssi plugin, which has loads of options, so that might be a solution?
