    Hello,

I tried to find the information in doc and forum without success.
Is their a way to filter results without keywords typed ?

I want to have keywords and taxnomy filter on my form. I want to use a “AND” field relationship to search for keywords AND taxonomy filter.
But I also want users to only filters taxonomy only result without having to fill any keywords. For exemple to display all posts from a given taxonomy but without any keyword typed.

    Is it possible ?

    Thank you in advance.

    Frederic

This should be the default behavior of our form, where you would have two field filters; a search box and a taxonomy filter. If the user does not specify a keyword, then the form filters only by the taxonomy term chosen.

This is sadly not the behavior I encounter.

Results only appear if I have a keywords filled. If I only us my taxonomy filters and hit the search button, no results are displayed. Is there a setting that can explain this ?

Ok I got it, I was doing some search same time as you and noticed the settings that was breaking stuffs.

If I set “Force is_search to always be true?” (checked) then selecting a taxonomy only without keyword the form result return nothing.
If unset, form is functionning correctly without keywords.

I just need to modify my theme now to not rely on “is_search” to check if I’m on result page 🙂

Thank you for your help !
